''Hymenocallis duvalensis'' (Dixie spiderlily) is a plant species in the genus ''Hymenocallis'', family Amaryllidaceae. It is a bulb-forming herb with showy white flowers, native to floodplains and streambanks in Florida and Georgia.〔(Flora of North America vol 26, p 289 ).〕〔(Biota of North America Program, county distribution map )〕 ==Taxonomy== The species was first named in 1967 by Hamilton Paul Traub.〔Traub, Plant Life. 23: 66. 1967.〕 The name was invalid according to Article 8.1 of the then International Code of Botanical Nomenclature,〔(McNeill et al. (eds), International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (Melbourne Code). Koeltz Scientific Books. 2012 ).〕 since Traub listed two specimens as the holotype. The name was validated by Joseph E. Laferrière in 1996.〔Laferriere, Herbertia 51:17-18. 1996.〕
